I think it dries about as well as, but no better than, my previous ancient Zyliss spinner which I have had for close to 40 years and following breakage of various parts, had nursed back to usability several times during that period; the latest needed repairs would have been the most challenging, so I decided to buy a new one instead. The space-age architecture of the new spinning bowl takes up some space, thus decreasing the am't of lettuce that can be spun at a time, and I think does not produce drier lettuce. One thing to improve would be to make the lid easier to remove: I tend to need to run my fingers around the edge to find the lip that can be used to lift the edge. The pulling is easier with the bigger handle, so that's a plus. Pressing the Stop button doesn't "fluff up" the lettuce when I do it, so that claim seems a little silly. Overall, I'm pleased with it.
