Why I love this baster: It has a brush for thorough cleaning, two interchangeable tips-one for injecting and one for basting and the top of the baster does not take brute force and extreme coordination to push it back on the tube like many other cheap basters. The tube is clear so you can see the measurement markings very clearly. It also has great suction that draws the liquid up quickly and does not push it back down while you are trying to use it to baste. I do not miss the speed/coordination contest to keep the liquid in the tube while I quickly try bring it up to the turkey to start basting (all the while spitting out the turkey stock I just drew up into the tube). When I first saw this baster at a major food retailer, I balked at the $12.99 price tag but found that to be the average price. I am so glad I purchased this baster. I gladly threw my other cheap and mostly ineffective baster away.
