I have several mandolins acquired over the years but I now use this one most. It's handy and sharp and does the job for any small, firm fruits or vegetables. The pusher, as noted, isn't the greatest, but I use a protective glove and either toss the last bit or use the pusher, which does usually work fine with a short piece. ANY mandolin can be dangerous if you're not careful! I've used them for years and haven't cut myself. Yet! Buy a glove and use it!
Granted, it could be wider, but it does what it does well. I would be interested in a wider handheld with ceramic blade, but I'd still use this one for what I use it for now, mostly slicing and julienning (great feature to have both in one unit!) vegetables (carrots, radishes, cucumbers, zucchini, small peppers). And the price is right!
